چکیده
In the framework of introducing green strategies for food processing, industrial orientation has shifted towards replacement conventional petroleum-based solvents with alternative eco-friendly ones. On this basis, objective study was to synthesize a novel, tertiary, food-grade deep eutectic solvent, composed glycerol, citric acid, and L-proline (GL-CA-Pro), test it as solvent extraction polyphenols from agri-food waste biomass. After an initial screening on various common residual materials (apple peels, lemon orange red grape pomace, olive leaves), evidence emerged that indicated GL-CA-Pro more effective than other DESs commonly used polyphenol extraction. Furthermore, extracts pomace (RGP) leaves (OLL) were shown contain higher level total increased antioxidant activity. Process optimization those two response surface methodology revealed major difference pertained time. addition, both materials, provide yields (53.25 42.48 mg gallic acid equivalents per g dry mass, respectively) compared water 60% aqueous ethanol. However, chromatographic analyses OLL suggested ethanol suitable some principal polyphenolic constituents. The RGP extract produced exhibited significantly stronger effects hydroethanolic extracts, but outcome diversified. It concluded is very efficient polyphenols, its efficiency regarding comparable

The extraction yield, phenolic content, anthocyanin content and antioxidant activity of extracts from different varieties of red grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Tempranillo and Tintilla, using pressurized green solvents have been analyzed. Two techniques were studied and compared: supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) with CO2 + 20% ethanol and pressurized liquid extract...
متن کاملEffect of the Drying Process on the Intensification of Phenolic Compounds Recovery from Grape Pomace Using Accelerated Solvent Extraction
In light of their environmental and economic interests, food byproducts have been increasingly exploited and valorized for their richness in dietary fibers and antioxidants. Phenolic compounds are antioxidant bioactive molecules highly present in grape byproducts. Herein, the accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) of phenolic compounds from wet and dried grape pomace, at 45 °C, was conducted and ...
متن کاملOptimization of Oleuropein Extraction from Olive Leaves using Artificial Neural Network
In this work, the artificial neural networks (ANN) technology was applied to the simulation of oleuropein extraction process. For this technology, a 3-layer network structure is applied, and the operation factors such as amount of flow intensity ratio, temperature, residence time, and pH are used as input variables of the network, whereas the extraction yield is considere...
متن کاملMicrowave Assisted Extraction of Olive Oil Pomace by Acidic Hexane
In this study, Microwave-Assisted Solvent Extraction (MASE) was used to recover oil residues from pomace olive using acidic hexane. Results obtained demonstrated that oil extraction yield increased with time, the amount of acetic acid in hexane and power radiation. For both radiation powers used (170 and 510W), the optimal extraction time and most interesting content of acetic acid in hexan...
